Highest indicated speed K1300s

I did a bit of high speed riding this weekend, and also some VERY high speed riding......

The first run the bike got to just over 280 km/h on the clocks, then the I ran out of road..

The second run, the bike indicated 292 km/h, and again the road didn't allow for more.

Now my question is:

What is the highest speed you guys have seen on the K1300s ???

Not sure if the USA models have a speed limiter or not because I had plenty of road with the throttle pegged!

True, has no speed limiter, only cuts @ approx 11.500 RPM

Hard to say with an analog gauge....there is some vibration when your're tucked in at that speed, mine was bouncing somewhere around 172-175mph...now how accurate is the gauge at that speed?

I also asked that question.

My indicated speed a while ago was 283-284km/h, and the GPS indicated 280.0km/h, so mine was very accurate.

That is @ 174mph

I suppressed a French guy on a Hayabusa last year when I went passed at 160mph two up with the luggage and the top box on!

I've been clocked at somewhere in the high 160s on an R by another forum member whose own 12S was measured by GPS at 163. I was still pulling away from him a little at that speed so not exactly sure what the number was. Sorry to post on this thread as it is for S bikes.

160 fully loaded and pillion - think I'll do that when I'm ready for the divorce that would follow . Good effort.
